  3. Use Close Reading Strategies to interact with The Illiad and the Odyssey Part 1 and 2. Answer Comprehension questions.

Essential Question: What factors influenced the outcome of the Persians?

Key Content Terms: Persian Empire, Darius, Persian Wars, Cavalry, Xerxes, Hellespont

Activities:

  1. Warm-Up: Type 1 notes on Channel One News
  2. Read pages 294-300
  3. Create short Newspaper articles about the Persian War Battles that answer: Who, What, When, where, how, and why this battle was important
